Moldova is the poorest country in Europe. This results in many Moldovans choosing to move abroad to find work, becoming ideal targets for human trafficking.  Women are forced into prostitution, while men are forced into labor or construction work. For more information visit the UN’s website on human trafficking in Moldova.
